If You’re the Boss, Stop Acting Like a Punk

If you’re the boss, stop acting like a punk…….and 6 other Quick #BizTips I learned this week:

Im-the-boss

  1. Speaking just a little louder than you normally do will help you to feel more confident. It also helps in commanding a room- little louder but no screaming ( results vary).
  2. Confidence makes even a wrong answer sound kind of right. Sound confident no matter what you are saying. If you’re wrong, apologize and move on. You know what you know, you’ve practiced and YOU ARE READY– Show it!
  3. Don’t wait for someone else to reach out to you. Most people are generally nice and willing to help, chat, give tidbits of advice and connections IF you ask.
  4. It’s NEVER a waste of time to OVER Prepare. This will get you past your nervousness, glitches, and the occasional ” we don’t actually have wifi” when your whole presentation is using the internet 😉 .
  5. Anything past 15 minutes is a consultation, and they should be signing a nice and tidy invoice at minute 16 on your ipad ( square).
  6. Wake up in the morning at tell yourself No 50 times. After you finish, spend the rest of your day focusing on the yeses.  You’ve already gotten the no’s and any extra one you get today will bounce right off your shoulders. No- Ok, moving on.
  7. If you’re the boss, stop acting like a punk. Quit waiting for someone to give you permission. Quit trying to find someone who’s done it. Quit trying to wait on the seminar. You started a business so YOU could be the Boss and make decisions. You want change- RISK. You want opportunity- ACT. Want to be the Boss-Command Your Place.  #bossthoughts
