Everyday Women CEO makes money... here's how

Everyday, Women CEO Project makes money.

This wasn’t always the case.
When I was invited to Google Headquarters in 2013, I met a really successful entrepreneur, who told me 2 key lessons he’d learned:
1. Try to stay in business long enough to learn exactly “how” to do your business successfully.
2. The most successful businesses make money every single day.
I took those lessons to heart, but it still was a while before I knew exactly how to create that reality in Women CEO Project.
So, here’s what I can tell you…. YOU ABSOLUTELY MUST CREATE.
You must create. If you were to go into Target and there were nothing on the shelves, it’d be pretty hard for them to make some sales or to even have a good day.
You, as a business owner, you must create.
Create products. Create services. Create programs. CREATE.
I started creating when I left Google in 2013. I had a few products that I was marketing horribly, but I was slow ( insecure ) with creating.
You want your business alive. You want it to grow. You want to be around long enough to learn how to build systems and what you want those systems to do in your business-and this takes time.
You’ve heard it before. You’ve heard me say it before-you can absolutely package up your knowledge and sell it.
You have MULTIPLE options when deciding what to create for your business and how to deliver this product.
Digital Products
I’m in love with digital products. They were my first creations AND they typically costs less to create. These can be your entry into creation. Some of our digital products are our BEST Sellers and they can be easily consumed by our clients quickly. They also have no location boundaries. So, these digital products are able to reach our clients who don’t reside in the United States and who don’t have easy access to bookstores.
Sitting down to write an ebook, a guide, a checklist- it can be done tonight and start to add to your bottom line within this week.
Here are some very important creation questions to ask yourself:
What subject matter do you want to be known for teaching?
What lessons do you want to make sure that you audience understands?
Do you need to do more research on these lessons to develop your content?
What do you want you audience to leave you knowing how to do?
What type of benefit will your product add to your customer’s bottom line or life?
What do you want them to do after experiencing your product ( what do you want their next step to be )
Books
We launched our first book December 2015 and the second book in April of 2016. They were 2 of the best ideas of the year and WAY overdue. Writing a book isn’t as hard as you may think-it IS a process that I totally breakdown here. But, it can be done, and it can be a massive add to your business all while bringing in money daily. That is, if you market it well, right and within the right audiences. Again, you can get help with the marketing of your book ( the most important part of the book writing process ) here.
Courses
When you really have some time and want to get multiples lessons across-consider creating a course. When I am trying to teach something a bit heavier-I’ve put it into a course, and these courses were able to guide my clients through a pace that they were comfortable with. Also, I was able to deliver a lot of info at once without them having to buy more products. Courses can be staples in your business-like our top strategy online course. Then your job just becomes, making sure that you market it ( along with your other products) on a consistent basis.
These are just 3 products that you can create. In our ReThink Strategy Course ( online course ) we give some worksheets AND guidance on over 25 MORE products that you can create.
Remember this:
You don’t need permission to start creating. If you feel like you need permission, let me give it to you now. Start creating.
You don’t need to be an expert to create something and start helping people. You just need to have some knowledge that can help take people from point A to B and package it up in a deliverable way.
To get more help, join me for the next week and a half as I teach a 3 part Webinar Series on:
Creating Your Product ( May 31st 7-9pm CT )
Creating a Database ( June 1st 7-9pm CT )
Creating an Automated System for Your Product ( June 4th 7-9pm CT )
You can register for the May 31st webinar here or the Bundle of ALL 3 webinars here.
Monetize Your Knowledge

Today, April 25th, I’m opening registration for the 21 Day Monetize Your Knowledge Challenge.

Why Monetize Your Knowledge? Because, we spend so much time learning, reading, attending webinars, conferences and basically hoarding information, but with no plan to use or leverage this information to grow our businesses.

I want to help you change that.

I want you to know how to take some of the knowledge you have now, your expertise, your passion and create ways to expand your business AND your profits.
Why a challenge… this just makes it interesting.   Each day, for the next 21 days, you will get an email in your inbox, with a video lesson, a tutorial, or an action item with a new way to monetize your message. Also, by joining the challenge, you will receive a Digital Download with further explanation on just what to do with all that knowledge you’ve been gathering.

Click here to join the Monetize Your Knowledge 21 Day Challenge

I’ve been watching you CEOs!

You grab ALL of the latest books. You attended the conferences. You may have even attending some of mine. But, what have you done with all of that knowledge? Has it paid for the conference, has it benefited you and your business beyond simply inspiring you?

Most of you need to learn and understand how to ask for business, how to ask for your invoice, how to receive your value. I’m going to teach you that, over the course of 21 days-so that it sticks.

Once You Join the Challenge:

You will receive the ” Monetize Your Knowledge ” Digital Download,

Then, starting Friday, April 28th, I will show up in your inbox daily with a lesson, video, or action step for the next 21 Days

You will have a clearer understanding and tangible steps on what to do with all that knowledge to finally start to make more money for your business…

I will be happy that you have started to profit from what’s been stuck in your head 🙂

Challenge Starts Friday April 28th!!!

One of the BEST interviews I’ve done to date, Denise Duffield-Thomas will TOTALLY get you past your money blocks. Sometimes, where we’re in the trenches working our business, we think it’s just us alone. We think that no one else had to jump back into corporate and get a job. We think that no one else has trouble with cash flow. We think that no one else has trouble negotiating their worth.

As we continue February focusing on money, our profit streams, and funding, I want to share with you Mrs. Denise Duffield-Thomas, who gives frank, and detailed information on how to get on the right side of money in this podcast.

She is also quite systematic on how she runs her business and touches on that is well in this interview.

Get your pen, paper and maybe even a tissue and sit down with this interview. You won’t regret it!

  • How to Eliminate those Pesky Money Blocks for GOOD!
  • How to Leverage your Time, Money and Talents by Automating
  • How to Make it Through those Startup Years
  • How to Get Help for your Business EVEN on a Limited Budget
  • Understand and Live the phrase ” You serve, so you Deserve”
  • Let go of the Thrill and Focus on Profits

From www.powerculturemag.com Issue 4 ” The Marketing, Social Media & PR Holy Grail”

by: Kristi L. Jackson

I used to think my limitations could only be unlocked when I became worthy. That there was some status, some position that I’d one day attain, when I had developed enough skills, the right contacts, the proper look, confidence, and had gotten permission.

I put many of my ideas, my thoughts, my dreams on hold, but articulated them nicely in a journal of things I wrote but never thought I’d actually attempt and tucked them neatly in my drawer. I made sure to never add dates or names, and wrote in cryptic code because even in my private moments, my most intimate thoughts, in my being, I didn’t want to be exposed as a failure or reminded of what I didn’t achieve.

I didn’t cry for years, like 10. I thought this made me strong. I hid behind a proper, perfect mask. I hid everything I actually wanted.

Coloring well within the lines, I keep my dreams, my goals quiet, attainable, non-ambitious, comfortable to my friends, my family, to myself. I never expanded, walked on the edge or even looked at the edge.

 Fear.

My world changed in April 2008. It’s almost an anniversary. I can’t say what, but I can say how, my life, my desire, my ambition changed metaphorically.

My family has always been the center of my world, and at a moment, I was faced with the reality of possibly losing my most loved, most trusted, consistent, cherished, confident, friend, my deepest love.

My “Right now”, my future was staring me directly in the face. Life was as fragile as a feather and could be blown away in seconds. Why exactly had I been holding back? Why wasn’t I living my future now? Who exactly was I awaiting permission from? Whose approval did I need?

I had all of the tools, the resources, the knowledge needed. What I was waiting on was “a go”. I thought I needed someone to say it was ok. What I really needed was to be presented with the lack of time to realize that it was imperative to make important use of my valuable present.

I didn’t need to be given an opportunity, a committee, applause, permission or to be given a platform.

I needed to create my own platform. My opportunities rested in the palm of my hand. All that was required was giving myself permission to say yes to the passions and the purpose that had been burning and residing deep within my belly.

I needed to make my family, my mother proud of me now, not later.

My 2008 was difficult. I have never experienced such a tragedy and a blessing within the same lesson. I am so appreciative of the clearance of trees, the sense of clarity, the recognition of urgency, and finding the why to my purpose.

I have to remind myself as I write this, that it’s ok to cry. It’s ok to admit that in the past, you gave more credit to your excuses than credence to your opportunities. It’s ok to recognize your lack of effort especially if it’s a precursor to your abundance of tenacity, your feelings of limitless possibilities and your uncontainable happiness and appreciation of life, of family and in discovery and acceptance of your talents.

For the last 3 years, I have been living my journal, entry by entry, not without fear, but with an absence of excuses. With my mother looking on, hoping that she understands my deepest desire is to make her proud of me, but knowing that even if she is not, hoping that she respects and somehow admires that even though I’m not using my degrees, not doing the job she expected or giving her beautiful grandchildren, that I’ve finally found my passion and want to help, educate, and encourage women in the world, for the rest of my life.

My only hope is that in opening up to you ladies, that in sharing one of my deepest most intimate lessons, my urgency, my “why”, that I encourage and inspire you to pause, to unlock your own chains, to deeply reflect and start living your passions now.

Ladies, if you were waiting for the right time, waiting for a sign, if you needed someone to tell you this……I finally found my “go” , now I give it to you.

With Great Expectations,

Kristi

I just caught myself making this bullcrap list of goals without any specificity. I know better than that. Having been in sales all of my working like, I’ve always ecelled at reaching goals when given a target number, deadline and especially some healthy competition.

I just threw away that list. It was bullcrap, so now I want to help you throw away your own crappy lists.

Goals need to be specific. Uber freaking specific. Let’s take a look at a common goal:

Wanting to increase your sales. This not a goal.

Wanting to increase your sales by 20% this year, is a goal.

See the difference.

Let’s get even more specific.

Wanting to increase your sales by 20%, yet not spending another dime in marketing than the year before, instead opting to leverage social media, blogging, video, networking, writing, etc….. Now, we’re getting really specific.

Your goals need to be broken down into baby bites so that you can digest, make plans for it, and create a system of having small wins per day, which motivate you and your team.

Now that the goal of increasing your sales is broken down, you then need to break down the strategy to reach it. You are going to increase your consistency in other channels, but what channels? How often? Do you need help? What do you need them to do?

Blogging: Need 2 blog posts per week which means you write on Sunday’s and Wednesday’s. Set this time in your calendar and stick to it.

Videos: Want to increase your videos to 4 a month. This can be done all on one day. Plan out your videos, tie them to your other programs, create loops explained here ), optimize them, get them edited at once, then you’re done for the month in one day.

Find a Mentor: Make a list of potential mentors. Why do you want to connect with them? What do you think they will add to your life or your business? What can you add to their life? Where will they be this year? How can you connect with them?Create a long-term strategy on connecting, then building a relationship with them because of course you will not ask them for help on your first connection or meeting.

See how I broke these 3 goals downs into baby steps?

Also remember these 3 things when tackling your goals,

1. Give yourself a set deadline

2. Have someone hold you accountable

3. Measure your results to see where you can improve or what you can change

So now, in writhing this post for you, I have fixed my list. Not only was my goal crappy and not specific enough, it also wasn’t big enough, so good thing I started over. Now I have a nice, neat big ass audacious goal, with a deadline and mini goals to keep me busy for the entire month of May.

Good luck on yours!
